Why extraction shooters avoid solo queue?
EFT (didn't play but it seems so), cycle frontier, abi and now this - none has solo queue, kinda obvious feature for significant portion of the playerbase.

So what's the deal? Is it finantial excel or what do you think?

yeah its very annoying. I used to play a lot of Vigor on console. It has solo queue, but has many other issues. Lost Light also has solo queue but its a very crappy mobile port. would be nice if we could have a good extraction game with a solo queue.
Every modern game with PvP aspect HATE solo players. Its hard to sell skins to some1 who wont be showing it off to other players in squad.

Witchfire is kinda extraction shooter that is developed purely as PvE, but it has much different setting.

there are multiple elements of the game that favour a solo playstyle; however, if you don't like the setting it might not be fun

but you're still playing against Duos aren't you? as a solo. If I understood correctly the two queues are: Solo and Duo, or Trios (which duos or solos can optionally go into for a challenge)

I am a solo player and i couldn't care less about skins. Even if i would be playing with friends i don't think that skins would be anywhere near the top of my prios.

That said, I would be willing to pay extensive amounts of money (through one-time purchade, subscription or else) for a game that would focus on quality, offering solo queue being one of those. And i doubt i'm the only one. So why doesn't anyone care abut that market segment?

You heavily underestimate skin market. Alot of games are basicaly skin shops with game being side activity. Games are being developed as tools to sell skins rather then for game itself. And putting ppl into groups/squads where they can flex infront of each other has huge effect on sales. There were even patented algorithms how to put teams together based on skins to increase sales (basicaly if you use certain weapon alot, game throws you into team with some1 who has expensive skin on this weapon).

Many games today makes real profit on skins and ingame purchases, game sales means very little. And solo players dont spend much on that and devs have no psychological leverage on them.

Omg, I knew i'd get old one day, never imagined something like this to be the sign.
because some nerds data says if you see a skin in your matchmake lobby you have a 0.4 percent chance to buy it because you are dumb and retarded. That is the only reason, its purely monetary and for profit. It goes way deeper than that but you get the point.
