You can turn it on and off with a setting to show your gear or your operator skin.

btw i NEVER had issues noticing and seeing that operator skin at all.
i swear people playing on extremely low brightness or something that they have issues with skins like these.

All operators i've met were all the same. Shiny light green military armor than you can see from far away.
