Which shooters? Name a few because i can with 100% certainty show you that they don't have an auto-target lock. Plus most shooters have a killcam. Would look pretty obvious if someone faced into a different direction and score a headshot.

You just might perceive it as an auto-target lock when you get frustrated. But that's why i don't play competitive shooters in general. If you're not Shroud, you won't have a good time in these competitive modes.
splitgate and gta 5. it's funny you mention killcams because that's exactly what helped me realize that controllers have aim hacks in that game. against controller users, i watch killcams and in the playback their crosshair is completely glued to my head whilst we both strafe around in close quarters. that's called built in controller aim hacks. it's not "perceiving it as an auto-target lock", it's genuine aim hacks that the developers have coded into the game for controller users. and gta speaks for itself. if you've ever played the game on controller or seen videos, singleplayer or multiplayer, the crosshair locks onto heads and stays locked on until the button is released. but keep coping and believing with "100% certainty" despite the mountain of evidence proving you wrong

Splitgate doesn't have auto-target. GTA5 isn't a shooter. Given it's a console game ported to PC you may be right about controllers being favored.

Splitgate doesn't have auto-target.

i've also played it and can confirm stonkoverflod is right about controller aim being a problem on there

How? I reached Diamond 3 on mouse/keyboard and haven't noticed any disadvantage. There is aim-assist, but only if you tilt the stick, it helps you move into the direction you're aiming if an enemy is in the crosshair but neither on a player's head nor does it stick on the player. Again, you're mistaking aim-assist with auto-target or you had cheaters in your lobby that used 3rd party hacks.

i saw it many times in kill cams, literally every game, "stick on the player". not on the head usually but upper chest, and only at close-medium range

blaming cheaters for issues with games is very common on the steam forums lol but it's literally not even applicable here because splitgate shows your input device. i never once saw it with mnk and almost always saw it with controller players, and as you likely know it's much much harder to cheat on console

i've seen the same "stick on the player" style aim """"assist"""""" in halo and cod, both of which i also played both on console years ago before i evolved to pc gaming, and also in gta like user stonkoverflod claimed. shockingly i'm sure delta force will also see a huge uptick in suspected """"cheaters" with aimlock the exact day controller support is added lmao

Diamond 3 isnt something to use as reference since nearly all the diamonds are dogwater. Most have terrible aim, zero awareness, sh1t players in general.

Both Halo and CoD are console games by nature. Having aim-assist is not surprising in these games. But even in those games, it's aim-assist(as described a few times already), not auto-target.

I'm mad there are Keyboard and mouse users PLAYING GAMES with their devices that are meant for typing and pointing (LOL). Everyone knows all the best cheaters use kbm. Why even bring up you get pwnd by controller cheaters when we all know who the best is?

pc has been a target platform for games for decades, so claiming that it's only "meant for typing and pointing" makes no sense, especially considering it's literally better for gaming than consoles are lmafo

probably because they're using mouse and keyboard instead of the objectively worse alternative that is the controller lmafo

Wait, I thought controller was hand held hacks though according to you? Glad to know im using the worst peripheral and still beating players on the much better MnKB.
Controller plays for you and can 180 degree snap onto heads when it helps the point they're trying to make and in the very next instance is vastly inferior and gets outplayed by keyboard when it suits the next point they're trying to make. It's schrodingers input, controller is both the biggest piece of ♥♥♥♥♥ way to play a shooter and loses to keyboard in every metric but also effortlessly blows keyboard out of the water and is FPS on easy mode. Pointing out these logical fallacies does nothing anyway because these dregs are simply too stupid to understand.
