Nerfs that are desperately needed
Explosives.... They just need to be nerfed as soon as possible...

Like for example, I spawn, run and I aint even being shot at and suddenly 8 C4's (or breach charges or whatever that is) land next to my feet over and over and over again... Being shot by rockets in a tiny corridor cuz said operator has 4 rockets that he keeps infinitely resupplying and camps just 1 spot, does 30 kills before the whole team runs the other direction where another group of players with rockets and C4's are waiting to spam the hell out of everyone and you rarely see in certain maps anyone kill others with a weapon...

And that being said, Luna has 1 grenade and 60 second cooldown on her arrow... And the nade does very small amount of damage to infantry and vehicles... That being said, the nade should do more damage to infantry and less to vehicles, and C4 with rocket launcher should do the opposite (just make it explode in a cone, not in a ball area of damage).

And with that comes the limit... Luna has 1 nade and has to resupply each time, and so others should also have only 1 C4 or 1 rocket per respawn and forced to run and resupply every shot... This also applies for the wrist grenade launcher that is also OP as hell...

And as for vehicles come... 40mm ammo and I need to directly hit a player 3 times to kill him? Like sorry but vehicle damage has to be upped big time... Also we need ability to carry multiple main weapon ammo to either swap mid battle at resupply station or during vehicle spawn, we should be allowed to pick the ammo we need for said map... I hate to play with a tank that has antitank ammo and enemies got no vehicles and then when I play with HE ammo, I am supposed to fight a antitank car and a tank at the same time...

Also, there appears to be a bug where the vehicle active armor goes on infinitely... May have been a cheat but I did encounter multiple players having it on at all times being impossible to kill (we had 2 tanks, LAV and a bunch of people with rocket launchers and 1 enemy tank in the middle of it all and he wiped us all without taking a single bit of damage)...

"Being shot by rockets in a tiny corridor" - obviously a "Shafted" map.
Did you try to use other corridors?

I don't know. Active Denial System exists. And more people should use it in those tunnels in Shafted. Especially in KotH Shafted. But they don't. The counter exists, it's just largely ignored by engineers on that map because they're either too lazy to change their 4th slot, or they want to spam explosives instead just like everyone else.

I don't know. Active Denial System exists. And more people should use it in those tunnels in Shafted. Especially in KotH Shafted. But they don't. The counter exists, it's just largely ignored by engineers on that map because they're either too lazy to change their 4th slot, or they want to spam explosives instead just like everyone else.

PLEASE do not suggest adapt/overcome methods. instead everything must be nerfed/buffed till the whining minority is happy..

Adapt, overcome.

Or you can whine till everyone is just shooting at each other and never using gadgets of smart explosibe use.

You could also just play shepherd and mostly ignore them.

I think the problem is adapting isn't point profitable. Talking about people trying to farm up to Marshal. I too would rather play Medic and lose, but have farmed lots of points from heals/revives/ammo refills, than I would switch to engineer just to have stopped nade/c4 spam.
nah this game doesnt need their guns to be nerfed..that will literally ruin the game and have you never played a FPS before? cause being oneshot (or nearly oneshot) happens all the time in them
Explosives are way more powerful in real life but they nerfed them to make it more fair so I suggest you do what actual soldiers do and figure out a way around them instead of whining

Bullets are more lethal in real life so should that be nerfed in real life too? Like WTF is this logic???

Game balance is very important for the survival of this game... If you dont think explosives need to be nerfed, not my fault but then why TF do I need to 2 hit or 3 hit people into body with a sniper rifle? It should be 1 hit kill even if I hit their toe then to balance the range... If explosive can 1 tap a tank (yeah the character has enough of them to 1 tap a tank so dont argue) then I should be able to 1 tap people with M700 or AWM into body aswell... Tanks, cars, LAVs should either also have a weak spot like player has their head to balance the explosive spam and then vehicles gonna have some value to push through choke points that are spammed by explosives or just nerf it... Simple...

I didn't say anything was nerfed in real life bc war is not fair hence automatic grenade launchers and such

Have u heard of armor plates? That's why you need to hit 2 or three times in the body, but not the head. Explosives will not do anything to an actual tank other than scratch the paint, but hey, this isn't Warthunder. The tanks need to have their armor buffed though because I should be able to last longer than 6 seconds in the open with no enemy armor firing on me. You *should* be able to oneshot people with the AWM even through armor plates but hey, BaLaNcE. Cars are absurdly well armored considering that they are cars and not light armor and the light armor has, what, 5 weapons? Real light armor has a small cannon, a machine gun (Maybe even two!), and sometimes anti-tank missiles. Both sides use the exact same vehicles so despite the glaring inaccuracies it should be fine, right? No, because half the time the enemy is the only one with a vehicle. There's no problem with the explosives, just your gameplay and the vehicles.
this game needs a normal mode with no specialist and hero shooter bs
i think what they need to do with the explosive gadgets is make the a resupply and not cooldown based. i hate that whenever the push ends up at a chokepoint there is endless smokes, magnetic bombs, grenades etc.

In actual combat there are soldiers with different roles but video games take it to the extreme and it's retarded

This would be a very valid point if active defense did not expire almost straight away and have way to little range to be effective to push.

To say that there is absolutely no need to further balance this beta game is just silly, but i would agree that outright nerfing explosives would not be the best and only way to do things. Especially since on larger maps they are not nearly as effective.

Boosting the Denial system for instance would be better since that would also be mostly a boost that makes sense on these tight maps where you are funneled into killboxes.

Also Shafted is basically this games metro. Some people really enjoy spamming xplosives in these games. :)

I guess the problem is that you need a rocket launcher for vehicles. I only use it when I hold a point with a MG and Shepherd. But overall I guess you are right, people dont use it enough.

Overall I dont have issues with the explosives in this game, its fine. The game suffers from other problems like head/camera shooting and the like.
