Why don’t medics help their teammates in multiplayer games?
It’s frustrating when you’re down, surrounded by medics, and no one helps you up. This happens way too often, and I think it’s time we talk about it. These games are meant to be team-based, not single-player experiences where everyone only looks out for themselves. If you play as a medic, your role is to support your team, not just yourself.

Unfortunately, the lack of teamwork often comes from a few key issues:

1. Selfishness and self-interest: Many players care more about their own stats (like kills or K/D ratio) and avoid reviving others to stay "safe" or avoid dying.

2. Lack of teamwork: In public games, a lot of players don’t play as a team. They ignore calls for help and focus on their own objectives.

But let’s remember: medics are crucial to victory. Helping your teammates keeps the team alive, increases your chances of winning, and makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.

So, if you’re playing as a medic, please help your teammates. Revive and heal when it’s safe to do so. This is a team game – let’s play like one!

I love playing a medic, 1 revive is just under a kill. Then your revives make you xp. It's a great system, the best IMO. I would say most games don't reward the healers adequately.

We all know exactly your frustration, just nothing to do about it lol.

Sorry if the above doesn't sound good, looks good. I'm drugged up atm. Kidney stones, yaaaay

I often play as a medic, but in all the chaos, it’s hard to choose who to revive or help first. I’m also often hesitant to step out because I don’t want to get myself killed – it’s a lot of pressure since you either help or end up contributing to a loss. For example, in many matches, I might have 5 kills, 10 assists, but I’ve revived around 40 teammates. The real question, though, is whether it’s worth risking it to revive a teammate or if it’s better to hold back and avoid losing another ticket.

It has the best weapons imo.
So i find myself definitely slaying more than healing at times but hey at least ya can do both. compared to the rest.... which doesn't have the option. :cozypoechris:

Put your "bleed out" key to toggle instead of hold. yes its an actual option.... Thank me later.

because they're bots and/or griefing.

If I saw a downed guy in a safe place I revive.
If i saw a downed guy in an open place I DO NOT REVIVE.
If I saw a downed guy and we are in the middle of a gunfight or hot area I DO NOT REVIVE.
People use Medics not to play the the part but to self heal and reviving is only an option.

And what explanation can you give for when we capture a flag and I'm lying on the ground and the team starts attacking the next point and I've got 10 medics next to me who won't help me? I mean, there's no enemy there but they're still running past me..
Selfishness 101. People will actually stand on your body and not revive you.

I also like to play as a healer and help everyone and take the risk of dying. But when I need help, no one helps me and that often makes me angry.

I play with real players, but everyone thinks only of themselves and runs ahead

I noticed in battlefield 1 that there are a lot more medics helping teammates than in other battlefield games or delta force.

Thank you for sharing your perspective as a healer; I now understand what might be behind it when healers don't help me. I usually play as a healer too, but I often get frustrated when I need help and don't receive it from anyone. On the other hand, I also feel this compulsion that if I can't help someone or I get shot while trying to assist, I start imagining that the teammate I was trying to help is silently blaming me for not being able to save them. In those moments, I feel disappointed in myself for not being able to help.
