Playing any operator that can not destroy vehicles is frustrating as hell already. If anything, vehicles need to be nerfed or put into their own game mode. I do understand that you want to yolo around and mop the battlefield with your tank but it's one person having fun vs. all others feeling miserable. Not ideal game design.
No no no, the vehicles are easily destroyed by AT missiles, wrist rockets, grenades etc and even better the guided ones, it is more running to cover to fix health than playing as humans. And the vehicles do ridiculously little damage, it`s like you are tickling the enemy.
-Vehicle destroyability is good
-Vehicle power is too weak in comparison.
They just copy pasted battlefield 2042. You have to pay your monthly suscription to a cheat if you want your tank to kill something
In this game you actually see supports suppressing/preventing vehicles from impacting their team, and meanwhile the tank cant just outright kill everyone on the objective, its more about denial/crowd control.
Its nice that you have a real tangible effect on the battlefield rather than farming a couple kills before a stray rocket kills you.
The only problem ive seen so far with vehicle balance is good helicopter pilots, and Vyron.
For helis, the quick flare recharge, prevents even huge teams of supports from doing anything, while the helicopter still gets egregious openings to damage the team.
The provided AA guns on the map suck for shooting down helis and are too easy for the heli to destroy. The only thing that works is the LAV-AA against competent pilots.
Vyrons bombs just feel ridiculous compared to the dedicated anti tank options. I don't mind them aside from that, they feel fine for infantry. Maybe removing the magnet/sticky factor from vehicles? I think there does need to be an up close infantry c4/satchel bomb but vyrons bombs can be launched ridiculously far. It feels like vyron is more suitable in the anti tank role than actual supports.
Every other battlefield game has felt like vehicles were just too random/inconsistent, or cheesy, this is the first game Ive played where it mostly feels like it fits in.
When you get killed by a vehicle, you respawn as an operator that can kill that vehicle. That is pretty much the idea of the game, duh.
and it will kill the game...
I usually play Hell Let Loose, so a much slower and more realistic mode would be welcome imho.
Absolutely!
