Unranked queues should just be a wild, fun, chaotic mess where you're rewarded for being extremely good at the game. I don't like feeling pressured to win up against equally skilled players, nor do I enjoy the extremely long matchmaking times, in UNRANKED queues.
SBMM is a horrible plague on gaming
You spend more time in the discussions tab than you do playing the game for real.
Edit: The game is also relatively new, so not only does the SBMM algorithm not have a lot of data to work with, but players are still mostly inexperienced (safe for the no life nerds who grind out the game 8+ h a day, which will definitely... "impact" your experience). As players get more experienced with the maps, weapons and mechanics, and the SBMM algorithm gathers more data about players' performance, I suspect the game will become even more fun. You'll have fewer snipers camping in your base on your team, although that'll always be an issue, if only because sniping is so damn fun in this game.
