What is the point of "Supply Station" ?

Sorry for asking, might sound dumb, but what is the thing with Supply Station? Does it give us limited cheaper version of stronger gear or ?

yeah, pretty much what you said. You can get stuff thats cheaper than auction house, but only once or twice in so many hours. Make sure to compare the cost of the materials to the cost of buying straight from auction house though, because not everything is cheaper.

Previously you could craft equipment, attachments, for your own use or for selling for an extra profit.

With the last update, crafted equipment is not allowed for selling
