What's the point in the thermals?
Neither of the thermal optics can see through smoke which is the only reason i'd see the thermals being useful and we can't use them for that, the scope thermal obscures too much of the view to be usable too.

Well I'm glad they DONT see threw smoke and personally like the thermals but I will not disclose why I like them sorry.

Possibly the higher contrast between targets and background? Like putting a spotlight on the 2 pixels sticking up over a barrier?

any form of clear player visibility is negated by the lack of view.

Well I will admit that there is a lack of view I use a 110 fov and theres only 2 bad zones one on either side of the scope but I find it ok and tolerable. I have scope mag adapts auto ON in the settings and the scope calibrations set to where the main view dont zoom just the scope only zooms.

Maybe they will be better suited for the night maps?

thermals make this game easy mode. it takes any stress/ brainpower of scanning and identifying targets and lets you fully focus on beaming people. looking up at a cliff you can now instantly grab a yellow target, even if just a few pixels of yellow, and beam. I'm hitting shots that i absolutely never would have taken before. Thermals are extremely op and there's no reason to use anything else besides them.

The new Thermal Scopes are useful for Night Maps which it will be added on next Season.

Snipers shooting from their eyes are not always easy to find.
With a thermal scope, it's just a matter of looking through it.

Actually sadly the thermals CAN look through some smoke, I was pretty shocked to find that out yesterday. It is the dark greyish smoke, you can look through it with thermals (at least the purple one Ive tried on my rifle)

I hope this is an oversight because they wanted to make thermals first see through all smoke but then they changed it because of backlash. Maybe they forgot to change this back ? I hope.

I also agree that its very easy to spot people, I saw yesterday an enemy about 200-300m or something away hiding in a dark tunnel, thats stupid.

We need less ESP/WH and the like and not more, at least thats what I would like.

We need the head firing BS fixed, that is at least to me what breaks the game, it so annoying.

EDIT: And about night maps, well then give people a button to activate nightvision on night maps only.

EDIT2: The smoke you can see through is the one from the medic class. Great now you throw smoke to try to revive someone and everyone with a thermal can see you anyways.

You cant look through smoke, no matter which thermal.

Thermal can see trought the smoke,last 1-2 seconds when smoke dissipates. And for the killing trought the smoke, it's just pure luck or you know where someone is standing or lying on the floor.
