Well the anticheat is kernal level which means it has access to everything on the system, what you see, what you do/type. The trojan virus could maliciously cause widespread havoc on your system. I stopped playing until the devs fix this.

FYI. the idiots saying that anti-virus software is worthless and from "2009" are seriously misinformed. Bitdefender has saved me at least a dozen times in the past 8 years.

Thnx for the info. Bitdefender removed it, can stll play the game but lost the trust. Also its a good game but im not sure how i feel about its a complete copy of BF and the fact that i reward the devs by playing it.

There's code in the anti-cheat that resembles coding techniques that resemble malware, much like how keygens work, but keygens aren't actually malicious for the user, unless there's ACTUAL malware embedded in the keygen. Same principle. If you just use Windows Defender like a sane human being, such as yourself, you won't get so many false positives. More people need to be like you, and stop throwing precious money away on anti-virus software which only helps PEBKAC issues.

kaspersky is malware.

I use ESET and it caught it and blocked it. US government already released a statement of tencent installing Chinese Spyware. The game is free for reason guy. Kaspersky is really good software btw and is one i woukd trust if i was not using ESET. Windows defend is as basic as its comes and doesnt catch 90% of the shady stuff thats out there. Look at the poor windows 11 updates that are constant problems and you think defender is coded any better

I wouldn't call us oblivious. I never use anti-virus because I don't torrent "download managers" and "toolbar speed-up pro" lol.

Some of the most agressive viruses i have seen affected computers trough the banner ads on normal websites. You dont need to go stupid places to get a virus, just a normal trusted website with banner ads.
