Does this game have bots?

When I first tried it, I thought I was playing against all real players. Other times it seemed like there were some bots. I see some people on here mentioned bots.

I was hoping there wouldn't be any bots because that's what killed BF2042 and Fortnite.

We don't know how bots will be used in the release version. They were definitely a problem during the alpha test and Steam Next demo, mainly because how overtuned they were.

There is an overwhelming amount of insanely precise bots. You will assume aimbot. I just uninstalled. I was so sick of the literal slog.

There are bots, and there will be bots. The devs think that, if there are bots on both sides, then the bad players will still have something they can kill, and the good players will get more targets, hopefully wasting time killing bots and not other players.
At least that the reasoning, which is fair enough I guess.
Problem is it doesn't really work out that way, and there is no way of telling how many players in a match are bots.
The whole bot thing is a failed experiment IMO, but oh well, I'm not the dev.

Very sad to hear this. Game has potential, but I have yet to meet a single person that actually likes bots mixed with real players. It just creates a weird, artificial interaction. The best moments I've ever had gaming have always been with only real people because it creates a natural sequence of events. Bots just play like bots- they move a little, stop, laser aim, shoot. They don't think like a regular human so it really has no place in a tactical shooter.

Also thought I was going crazy and people were just that good when I'd get 2 shot lasered from across the battlefield, but when I used the same weapon it would have crazy recoil and lower damage at the same distances. I knew something wasn't right and bots explain that lol

Maybe I'm just in the minority, but I would rather have a smaller player count in games than having bots. Instead of 64v64 with half of each team being bots, I'd rather it be just 32v32 all real players. Not sure how many bots were placed in each match for this game though. I know BF2042 has more bots than players every time I play it on PS5.

There was a lot that ruined 2042, but I wouldn’t say AI was one of them, besides peeps not like playing with them. Bots are easy kill, but you think there God mode. Lol. I rather have a larger team to be a part of vs having to be the team and being the one to win the game when there are fewer players. Sometimes players and whole squads are useless so having more players and being able to switch squad is a plus too.

I'm just seeing skilled humans face-rolling bots, and sometimes ignoring them, because that's how slack the AI is.
