Remove the Kernel level anti-cheat
Wanted to tried it out, started downloading, read that it is using a kernel level anti-cheat, stopped the download and removed from account. Do better.

And yet, Helldivers 2, Halo MCE and Warthunder that you've played recently, and the game you are playing right now, Space Marine 2, all use kernel level anti-cheats as well. Do you have threads for all those games complaining about them as well?

Better stop playing Space Marine 2, and start uninstalling those games now!

Always the extreme takes coming from chronically online. I love how you go from "be cool with everyone having access to your private data without saying a word about it" to "Delete your steam account" and "stop playing all these other games" as if there is no in-between. Such a naive-minded take. Yeah, let me go ahead and delete my whole Steam account and never play any other games from any company ever in my life because there just can't be a middle ground and a threshold to what's acceptable and what isn't, right? You guys are funny

No, I don't have threads complaining about other kernel-level anti-cheats. I am perfectly aware that most popular anti-cheat solutions run at kernel level. However, there is a very big difference between playing a game from a somewhat reputable and transparent (to a degree) company like Steam, Microsoft, Gaijin (lol) or Sony that implement widely popular anti-cheat software used by literally half the industry like EAC or VAC, and playing a free-to-play Chinese off-brand Battlefield game from a no-name team with barely any history from who knows where backed by non other than TiMi Studio Group aka Tencent that is using a "G.T.I Security" anti cheat that - you guessed it - nobody has ever heard of or knows how bad it is. Yet.

Based on my quick research, a lot of people have came to the conclusion that it is basically spyware with unclear EULA (or lack thereof because the websites and documents are all in Chinese) that remains on your PC invisible even after you delete it. EAC or VAC is nothing compared to a shady Chinese spyware in a free-to-play(!!!) game that is near impossible to remove even after the game has been deleted and requires special tools to get rid of - unlike VAC or EAC. I think the fact that this anti-cheat is extremely hard to remove from your computer to the point where you have to scrub it off using specialized tools is a clear indication that it should not ever be installed on your computer. Just how I will never download and install Valorant or any other Riot Games products - their anti-cheat behaves the same as this one, and also would linger on my PC invisible to me unless I use specialized software to get rid of it, and that could potentially brick the PC. Read about it, it happened to others before. Some hackers were even able to access people's computers remotely due to a data breech at Riot. Now, I know that happened with EAC and Apex Legends, but from all my research it was more of a server breech with Apex specifically and not EAC. EAC is Easy to bypass. but so far there have not been major, EAC-wide breeches like that. The only two games that have been affected were Apex and Rust, while all others seem to be doing fine. And I don't play either of those, so it doesn't affect me.

Other people on this same community hub have reported that their anti-virus software flags this anti-cheat as malware too. Surprise-surprise, that does not happen with EAC, VAC or even Helldiver 2's nProtect GameGuard. That is another red flag for me.

Anyway, if you can't see or don't think there is a difference in transparency and safety between anti-cheats like EAC or VAC and this crap - I won't argue with you, but I also disagree with you. That's your opinion. Enjoy this game when (if) it comes out and who knows, maybe this anti-cheat is not that bad, and literally everybody is wrong about it, and Tencent is definitely not going to go through every single file on your computer. I doubt it though.

I hope I made myself clear enough on this matter. You guys, of course, can continue being funny little jokers, taking everything to the extreme, personally mocking me and defending this project that hasn't even came out yet and will most likely die within a month or so.

These takes weren't extreme at all. You only stated that you were bothered by kernel level anti-cheat and nothing else specifically about it. They responded with logical response pointing out other games your play are doing the same thing and questioned why you had no issues with them. Again that is a rather logical thing to do.
Perhaps if you clearly stated why this particular anit-cheat bothered you, they would have had better responses.
I have played plenty of games that are probably owned by Tencent so they already got my info even if they are spying on the weird stuff I look up. I bet they like it, those pervs.

P.S You have made yourself clear enough on this subject, thanks!

Yeah, I should've been more clear in my original post to avoid confusion. However, I do still think that "delete your steam account and stop playing all the games you are playing because having a reputable anti-cheat is the same as having a no name Chinese spyware" is, in fact, an extreme take, even ignoring the lack of context in my original post.

There might be a language barrier since I believe the way I explained my stance on this whole debacle is clear enough and is not hypocritical at all. But again, I'm not going to argue with a Russian about hypocrisy and what's legal and what's not. I've heard enough about that over the past years.

Let me guess, you're not currently playing multiplayer with an anti-cheat system, are you? At the moment, almost every anti-cheat system is equipped with kernel access.

And you probably won't play any games with anti-cheat in the future, as this won't change unless you have another idea of how to take more effective action against cheaters/hackers.

And EAC and VAC will not delete everything from your system when you uninstall them. Traces remain there too. You have use "Administrator command prompts" to remove it.

EAC and VAC are deleted by a single command prompt. Vanguard, for example, requires third party software to completely get rid of, just like the anti-cheat in this game.

Helldivers Two funnily enough, has the longest Steam Forum post available in it's community sector. What is the topic, might you ask?

Asking the devs to remove the Kernel level anti-cheat, and providing evidence that it is actively causing harm.
