It doesn't feel like a Battlefield game. Any BF fan, player even, would laugh at the notion.
The movement is heavy, slow, just doesn't "flow" well, its nauseating. The gun play is very COD like, you might like that, I don't. The environment is very static and bland, there's no immersion with the fog of war in the map, lets say.
This is also supposed to be a good looking game but I don't see it. BF1+ looks better, maybe its the design of the world. Sure, UE5 games should look stellar but even at Ultra settings, while textures, poly's seem high, every thing is so bland.
The bots seems to be pushing this generic trash hard after they did Wukong.
Not really... the last COD I played was Modern Warfare 2... the one released in 2009.... I'm actually waiting for a game that offers gun play on the level of Rising Storm 2 Vietnam or Insurgency Sandstorm... maybe on large maps...set in modern era...like battlefield 3...since there isn't one.

That's correct. Sorry about that.
Apparently even people who can't read exist... since i said ">>highly accessible<< >>modern<< >>hardcore but casual<< FPS that >>isn't as demanding as a simulator<<" went completely over your head... find me a hardcore fps set in modern time with battlefield sized maps and modes.... Squad 44/squad/Arma? more like a simulator not really that accessible.. cant really quickplay.... right? Insurgency? yes... very close! if it didnt have call of duty maps? Hell let loose/Rising storm vietnam? maybe?? still more close to simulator style given that offers big maps, 1 hours matches ? and they dont really sound like they are set in modern era? right? Isonzo maybe? but not the right era?.....Ready or not?!? like What?
More like im looking for Forza Horizon and you are suggesting me to play need for speed or assetto corsa. but anyways do something about that reading comprehension problem of yours. You don't really need to take it personally just because i mentioned ur favorite game....
oh yikes... can you suggest a good OP loudout that you will use for the next short life of this game? thnks!
Highly accessible and hardcore?
Hardcore but casual?
"I want a highly accessible Dark Souls"
Oh but then it wouldn't really be Dark Souls now would it?
Not to mention that hardcore itself is a meaningless buzzword that people throw around - what does hardcore mean, that you die fast? Then CoD is the most hardcore game out there - or is it that you die a lot until you learn the game? Then Battlefield would be one of the most hardcore with a steep learning curve. But then by that logic it couldnt be >>highly accessible<<
What you have here is the narcissistic wish for a game that would magically make you feel good because you yourself fail to let yourself learn and get into any of the aforementioned games - its funny how you group Squad and Arma as simulators together, which just shows that you have either only played one of them or neither because Squad is not even remotely close to a simulator, its mechanics and scale are by comparison to Arma extremely arcadey and contrived for a particular infantry focused experience.
The specifics you mention about each game make me question if you've ever played them - Insurgency has call of duty maps? What?
Whatever - to leave on as positive of a note possible, and as someone who has experience with pretty much all games you mentioned, I'll tell you Battlefield is the closest thing to what you want - BF1 and V are higher quality than 2042 but the wrong era for you I'll assume; 2042 is at this point decent though extremely flawed, but it does seem to tick the right boxes for you - 20 minute matches (In the Conquest Large 128 player gamemode) - "Hardcore" i'm not sure, but you do die in 200-300 miliseconds to most weapons, and you will be extremely punished and farmed until you learn the game - its not a simulator at all, and its relatively accessible.
I just described insurgency sandstorm with slightly bigger maps.... is it really that hard to imagine it? Isonzo in modern times? Even the old Hardcore mode of BF3/4 would be good... There are still people who are paying to rent servers in Bf4 to play hardcore mode thats how non existent is this specific genre.... Should i make you a drawing to make you understand? do you only undertand black and white? bro forgot about the rest of the colors. Tell me... Can you quickplay in insurgency? yes! do you need a mic to play? no? can i just play it for 10 minutes? Yes! Is it a demanding game? not really? Is it more realistic than COD/BF? Yes! does it offer extensive customization? Yes? does it offer realistic ballistics? yes? Does it offer the HUD? No? Is it characterized by big maps? unfortunately no? Does the fire selector makes sense? Yes? Do YoU UnDeRsTaNd NoW?1?
You are clearly not the target audience and there are plenty of other games that do what you want.
Not to mention all the light machine guns have insane recoil, very unlike every other delta force.
Totally agree, by riding on the coat tails of the classic DF games, naturally they are going to get flak from veterans of the older games like myself. It reminds me how Rainbow Six was dumbed down into an online shooter and how the planning and multiple smart AI teams you coordinated was removed as well as the campaign/story being hacked out that totally destroyed the franchise for me and many others. Siege is complete trash.
I hope they do not do the same to DF with this new game.
