powerhouses is hysterical the modern consoles are the equivalent of a rig with a 3080 setup there extremely weak compared to a decent rig for a good example mine can run this game in max settings at 120fps consistent in true 4k resolution, most console games are capped at 30 which says alot about them being "Powerhouses"

I've been a game designer out of college for 14 years now, I've also mastered art compression within the engine to allow for max fidelity while retaining small file sizes. Which increases FPS because the engine doesn't have to render an 8GB image texture (exaggerated sizing).

I digress.

funny you say that what games have you developed or worked on if i can ask? also the console companies have entire teams dedicated to optimization where PC the devs are required to optimize it themselves which is why quite a few avoid it and cater only to consoles, because they have no idea how.

this ♥♥♥♥ is hilarious since using a mouse is far more unfair then using a controller, you whine about aim assist but what about the dude with a 200 dollar mouse who can edit his dpi poll rate etc etc to get a much smoother performance then the guy with a base logitech mouse?
at least on console everyone is equal with the same hardware.

I am not going to disclose which games I have worked on for security and privacy reasons, anything to avoid identifying me outside of my personal profile. I ask that you respect that. I've already had to close one other Steam account prior to this one.

Moving on.

Xbox, nor Sony get involved in the optimization of a game unless they have them directly involved in the development of it. This is widely known around the community, to people who know how things work. However this is starting to get off-topic. We need to stay on-topic.

PC users don't get aim assist like controllers do in FPS shooters. Look at Rainbow Six Siege for an example on Xbox and PlayStation, Ubisoft disables aim assist in PvP modes to prove a point. Pay more attention.

Edit: Also I'd like to add in here to your last sentence. 200$ mouse vs base logitech mouse is the same as someone using a base edition controller vs an elite Xbox controller with paddles which can be fully programmed to additional buttons or copy existing buttons.

ah fair i wont pry further sorry about that was just curious.

also yeah but the buttons add the abilities to do the same things any keys on a keyboard and a macro program can do that dosent give them a superior aim which is crucial when playing shooters.

You can use Steam Input to map out the Keyboard Bindings to Controller to set it up. I just did this and it works! You can also download other user made profiles. Although I do really hope they add controller support themselves.

Or yaknow they could add controller support with no aim assist. Then those of us that want to play on controller can and those of you that want to cry about aim assist can both be happy. Aim assist is stupid as hell anyway.
