This whole thread is hilarious. Again, why would you use a controller on PC in a competitive multiplayer FPS? You will be at an immediate disadvantage. And yes, its totally ok to use a controller to play games on PC, I use it on all sports, platform, 3rd person games, souls games I even use it on some single player FPS games like Fallout 3,NV etc, I use it on Mass Effect type games. Just never on competitive FPS games cuz its so much slower. I usually use M/K on most first person Survival games also but that's just me. I always feel like they are more designed for M/K controls. I know its just a preference, I just never understood people who demand M/K for online FPS shooters on PC. Even if your coming from console you will definitely play better on M/K if you practice and will never go back to controller.

But then there are people like me who have an arm injury so I can't move it that well. I can barely use the mouse to aim. I don't need aim assist. I just want to be able to use controller so I can play the game in the first place.

use epic games version add to steam go to the game properties, controller enable steam input just to be safe, open game on steam "the epic version" should work got mine to work that way :) and if it doesn't work start steam in admin mode  i hope they don't see this and block it. :steamsad:

I wonder if the players on the Stream version are being thrown in with Epic games players. Pretty sure I was just playing against a bunch of console players with aim assist for the last 2 hours. Stone Mountain did a nice video on how much easier it is vs using K/M with that feature being enabled. Also, plenty of wall hackers shot me through very thick walls and stuff. That's to be expected on a new game with a large player base.
I play a mix of both and can say kbm and mouse is far easier and more accurate then playing with your thumbs, we can debate all day about which is superior, but I can sum that argument up and say it depends on the game and player, but overall kbm players dominate controller players only because there's more flexibility in the way your control the game.
Controller players are what makes games fun. If you run into a match with bot players, chances are those are controller players. What I'm trying to say is if all players where on kbm think about how sweaty ever game would be. I'm sure there would still be bots, but not as many, making what you call fun now, not fun anymore.

Obviously I understand if you have an injury or other issues where you cant use m/k. Accessibility is a great thing for gamers and the more the better for our friends who unfortunately don't have full use of their hands/fingers or other senses etc. Course I am talking about people who cannot play the way most of us are lucky too, not talking about white paint marking climbable areas or games that basically play themselves for lazy gamers lol those things get marked under "Accessibility" sometimes also. So yeah, if a dev can have m/k and controller options available that would be the best way to go unfortunately its not always possible. Anyone without disabilities should def use m/k for FPS's games on the PC if they don't want to be at a huge disadvantage. @SgtBrightmoon, hope your injury heals soon or if its unfortunately a permanent thing hopefully more Dev's add accessibility options to more games in the future so everyone can play.
Dear Gamer,

You are playing on a computer.

Signed,

Everyone.

Ahh reminds me of the old days where controller noobs were on console.
Weird is that I played with my Dualsense gamepad like 3 days ago when I was testing if heli controls are better with it (they are not)... The game supports gamepad via Steam input... You just have to set your keybinds... DO NOT EXPECT TO HAVE AIM ASSIST... If you struggle aiming, dont play FPS games LOL...

Why have PC's and not learn the art of M+KB? Not everyone of you is harbouring an injury. I don't believe that. most of you are just too lazy to get used to it.

And has the controversial poster above says you want the benefit of aimbot.

Valve did a study and got mediocre CS players on M+KB vs pros on controllers and the mediocre guys wrecked the pros. This is on an extreme skill based game like CS where map knowledge, where to smoke and flash are key to winning as well as placement, movement, aim and recoil control.

I'm all for controller support if aimbot is not a feature. If it is then I ain't playing this game.

Last time I played full MnKB was when I was on the original Age of Empires back in the late 90s, otherwise I have been console strictly for 25+ years, until about 3 years ago. I bought a PC to play old PC games from my childhood and also so I can have high FPS and a 45” ultra wide which console cannot do. I’ve been on controller too long to care about switching, plus I play casually most the time now adays.

No aim aimbot for controllers? Great, i'd actually play this game if it didn't had operators and slow movement.

Based devs dont want to destroy their playerbase by adding aim bot for controller players.

Well they are adding it, so you might as well unsubscribe from this forum since you won’t be playing it right? I’ll bet you’ll be playing it.

Aimassist needs to stay out of this game. Cause you can easily set this game to play with controller, but you don't want this, you want your shiny rotational aim assist cancer to do the kills for you.

Back to CoD, peasant.

This thread gives me hope. I did wonder if the master race was extinct. I'm pleased to see the master race putting in the work defending the arts of M+KB

Im still waiting for someone to explain how its fair for a controller player to not use aim assist, who can only move their thumbs half an inch in either direction to play against a MnKB. You have an ASTRONOMICALLY huge advantage at that point. Its obvious the ones complaining are just trash players, because actual good MnKB players wouldn't cry like this.
