Steam failed to verify integrity of one file, when tried to download it, it fails with "disk write error" - Any getting the same ?

Well, I was able to resolve it by turning off the Anti-Virus/FW.

How did you do that? Like in game anti-virus or on your machine?

If you have an Antivirus, then you need to turn it down.

even after disabling the antivirus I am still receiving the Disk Write Error even after validating the game again, I've restarted steam, uninstalled and reinstalled and even have reformatted my storage space entirely but the same issue occurs.

hello, i'm experiencing the same problem, the antivirus software deleted something during the first download and causing the file to be missing. When fixing it, it showed a write-to-disk error, and even after re-downloading, it still did not work. BTW i can't find the discord channel through the link :(

I am having the same issue. I have finally given up on trying to play this game. I enjoyed it but I shouldn't have to get my virus software to look the other way either. I have tried all other solutions I could find online.
