The situation of Delta game crashing

As soon as you enter the game, it crashes out. Does anyone know how to handle this

Thank you manu450 - I finally got it working by uninstalling the game AND deleting the Delta Force game folder that is left behind (and empty recycle bin) before redownloading and reinstalling from scratch.

If anyone is stuck and already tried other solutions mentioned, here are the steps I did - if you are not sure where you installed the game, start from step 0, otherwise start from step 1:

Step 0. right-click Delta Force in your Steam library, click "Browse local files". This will open Windows Explorer. Click the BACK button (top left corner) one time so that you are looking at the folder that contains the Delta Force folder. Keep the Explorer window open, but minimize it for now.

Step 1. In steam library, right-click Delta Force, go to Manage, then click Uninstall. Proceed with uninstalling.

Step 2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder that contains your Delta Force folder. Delete the Delta Force folder, then right-click the recycle bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycle Bin (or specifically delete the Delta Force folder inside recycle bin)

Step 3. Download and install via Steam library again

I really did not want to resort to having to redownload the entire game, but I tried every solution suggested in this topic EXCEPT doing that. The part about erasing the game folder is probably the most important thing - someone on reddit mentioned that whenever they tried to reinstall the game without deleting the leftover folder / files, it didn't fix the issue because one or some of those files were apparently causing the problem.

It seems that the "Verify integrity of game files" option in Steam simply does not consider certain files or scenarios. I had originally tried to let Steam update the files from the alpha test (renamed the folder and tried to install over it) - this only saved ~1GB of the 60GB download, and this is probably what caused all of these problems for me.

Same here... My pc just crashes and i have to manual turn it off and on again. -i7-14700KF. 4060 TI 16GB. 64 GB RAM. Windows 11 pro.

omg guys, i've tried all your stuff : didn't work. Then I've tried to put it in my firewall and all, change my settings to medium and fullscreen. It worked !!! I was able to stay in the menu for 10 min, then i switch to Window mode and ultra, 2 min after it crashed... Then reswitch to fullscreen and..... tadaaaa never crashed again ! All of this for a fkn fullscreen mode... I hope you guys tried it before, because i really feel dumb about those 2 days i've lost trying to figured it out :')

My game always crashes in the first match i play instantly. When i restart it its fine and i can play withput issues. Just annoying that it always crashes first game on

only way I got it to work was to wipe all my old drivers with a DDU. It was apparently old shaders/driver files that caused it to blue screen on my end

my friend had the game running perfectly, so i took a backup from him, uninstalled my game , then did a game restore from that backup, it works now perfect, i didn't want to do a redownload (my internet speed is at max 400kb/s) and steam verification said no file corrupted, so it's on steam.... luckily it worked from my friends backup

To those who got their game crashing to the desktop during the launch:
for me this worked:
1. uninstall the game through the steam
2. shift+delete the game folder with what is left
3. install a game again

u can try verify in game files or update latest drivers, i have this problem at start but after i reinstall doesnt have problem for me

I had this issue too, tried a lot of potential fixes, the one which worked is to :
use display driver uninstaller to uninstall the graphic drivers,
then reinstall the drivers (using the nvidia app to make it easier)

all I found out on my end is that whenever Unreal is involved, there will always be crashes and BSOD from some random settings or whatever you did on your end like alt tab on Fullscreen mode at max settings cuz at low on all, this doesnt happen
