that's a known AMD driver issue from alpha.
you could downgrade drivers to 24.8.1 or use some command lines that I can't find right now as it was in the alpha forums...
I guess I'll try to look for the command line, AMD will probably fix this crap soon
-dx11 -useallavailablecores
no stutter/drops when fog is on the screen with my 7900XTX anymore.
But still not as smooth as with the first alpha an 24.8.1 drivers (won't downgrade just for this game)
Same with rtx 4090 and 14900k . Others are having same issues. What is "s.a.m"?
SAM is an AMD tech that "allows the Ryzen CPU to talk directly with the Radeon VRAM, increasing performance". In my experience SAM ALWAYS hinders performance.
When playing my framerate shows 180, but the game is WAY too choppy for that to be true. I guess my frametimes must be high as hell.
Ryzen 7 7700
Radeon 7800XT
DDR5 32@4800 MTs
Game runs at 140-180 @ medium settings 1080p
I recently reintalled my Radeon drivers - as I was tinkering around and dared install the EyeFinity thing, which bugged HARD. did a factory reset to forget config and user profiles- and SAM was on by default.
Will test and report back :)
