Good High Frame Rate Choppy / Stutter Issue

Can anybody help me to figure out what is wrong? If it is a known issue, I get it, I will wait for patches. Basically, I have the game maxed out , running 120 FPS locked without an issue however game stutters a lot , when running around and looking in different directions , the game starts stuttering for like 2-3 seconds and then back to normal. If I keep moving , this occurs like every 20 seconds which makes it a difficult play time, usually end up dieng during stutter. Again, performance FPS wise is good , it just massive stutters. This does not happen in any other game, I have no 3rd party software running in the background such as Corsair ICUE or Asus ARmoury that are known to cause micro stutter, needless to say this isn't micro. Perhaps it is one of the graphics settings in the game, but there is so many, I have no clue where to start. Regardless, stutter as such shouldn't be there. Anybody else is experiencing this?

I get above mentioned FPS with or without ray tracing on. Stutter does remain, with or without ray tracing as well.

My specs:

RTX 4090
14900k
64 GB 6400 MHz RAM
M.2 SSD

Playing on 5120x1440 Resolution.

Any help is appreciated.

What GPU do you have? Perhaps you are running in DX11 mode or they only offer ray tracing option for 40 series? Just a thought.

I have a 3070 and play in dx12, it's strange to me generally there are no RT limitations only frame generation.

Ya, but they may have figured it is too demanding and locked to 40 series only, I have seen that in some other games. 40 series have more powerful RT cores. I used to own 3090 and remember vast improvement in ray tracing when going to 40 series. There may be a way to unlock , this being unreal engine, may just need to edit gamesettings or engine.ini files. I am not positive ,but it seems it may be blocked or unavailable based on the hardware.

i just use -dx11 and the new amd driver 24.12.1 (win11 23H2 6600xt and 5800x sam on), and it fixed all stuttering for me on medium without superresolution

I hear you ,but it depends what the stutter is a result of, not everybody has the same configuration therefore there is no such thing as correct or incorrect. It may help some and it may not help the others. Also when we say Stutter/lag, we may not all be experiencing to the same extent. I tried it briefly, perhaps it reduced it a little yet it still remains for me, I will do some more testing to provide a concrete update. I am on 4090 and 14900k therefore entirely different platform.

I kinda feel the same. I am getting tired of everybody pumping out un0optimized games in UE, they all starting to look the same too, just a different coat of paint. It is a sad time for gaming.

so i have 5900x with 6800xt and had massive fps drops from 130 to 30-60, tried disabling SAM, tried dx11 and and few other things and it didnt help.
Then i read something about people having problems that preloaded the game.... so i UNINSTALLED the game and redownloaded it. FPS were still present but then i used -dx11 -useallavailablecores on steam launch parameters and game works great now!
there are still some minor fps drops, stuttering but nothing compared to before.
Its on developers end now to fix the game for us! This game should run butter smooth....

There are a few threads now about the performance issues. It is affecting all 3 GPU vendors across multiple generations of GPUs and driver's.

My all AMD system (5900X, 6800 XT 16 GB, 64 GB) is having major stuttering and FPS drops. D.F. ran like butter for me during the previous beta on ultra settings and was locked at 120 FPS @ 1440p.

Even the new driver's that were released in the past 24 hours by both NVIDIA and AMD do not help.

It is in my opinion that this is not a hardware issue, but a development issue.

The performance issue has presented itself as a broad spectrum issue. The developers dropped the ball with this open beta.

I think there are some issues with the drivers on AMD. I ran a driver from July yesterday and it ran super smooth. Updated driver today and it stutters like crazy every 5 seconds or so. Going to roll back the driver and see if that fixes things again.

fixed it for me, dont put it in the steam launcher
put it the delta force launcher at profile/ launch parameters

havent issues yet running the game maxed out generally around 200fps ish give or take i think it was.
