Switch off synchonization software, for example synology drive client/my case/
EDIT: i got it to work spamming it. did it 30 times like 30 minutes ago, took a shower and it took 2 tries
EDIT2: upon loading into the game i got hit with a "update failed Please connect to a stable network (554827782) " my internet provider is cox.. back to infinite loading fail loop
In my case it was kaspersky blocking the connection for some reason.
1. Disable self-defense in Kaspersky.
Open Kaspersky > Settings > General > Self-defense > Uncheck > Save
2. Goto C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP21.3\Report
and remove content of the folder. (Note, this part you need to fully close down Kaspersky, not just disable it, as the files you are attemping to delete will otherwise "be in use" You are free to open it up after deleting the files.)
3. Enable Self-defense in product back.
Open Kaspersky > Settings > General > Self-defense > Check > Save
4. Restart pc.
Worked fine after that
