Nice one, glad it worked for ya
Steam Input is Enabled for Controller and the Playstation controller shows as Enabled in status. I tried a Community config and also my own config and nothing works.
What a stupid take. I have played keyboard and mouse for the last 17 years almost exclusively, except for console exclusives over those years. Using a controller does not do anything to the identity of the game being a PC-centric or even PC-only game. Battlefield, for instance, has always been a PC-first game and has had controller support on PC since Battlefield 3.
Things change and people have reasons behind wanting the OPTION to play with a controller. My situation is, I don’t have an office for my desktop PC anymore due to it becoming a nursery for our second child, and have moved to the ROG Ally X for most of my gaming. I’ve compromised the pretty graphics of my $3500 desktop to be able to play more on the go anywhere in the house or at friends’ houses. Delta Force runs decently on the ROG Ally X and would love native controller support. I still break out my Razer laptop if I know ahead of time that I will have time to sit down and play, which I use KB/M on still. Having the OPTION to be able to play Delta Force on my couch, in bed, at a friend’s house, hell…even on the toilet…that would be awesome!
We need native controller support.
This worked for me and will get me by until full controller support is rolled out. Thank you
Why would you come into this thread about controller support ONLY to spew your absolute garbage about "identity"? People are trying to play the game with their own preferred method, not yours! Screw your identity, we don't care.
PC isn't about one controller or set of controls. It's about freedom of control. Early games you could use a mix for immersion, Mouse, controller, wheel and a flight stick...
You can't do that anymore on PC games it seems...
Handhelds, which I now use when on travel are growing in popularity.
You can get pretty damn good without any sort of aim assist with a high sensitivity settings and practice. That's what I did over many years.
An easy resolve, similar to early Battlefield 3 and 4, is to simply allow Xinput programming on the keymapping.
Also, allow HOTAS Flight Sticks like earlier battlefield and Tom Clancy games, for those that prefer helicopters (another reason to allow xinput as well).
