Controller support

Controller support is scheduled to be released in Q1 2025, alongside the console release.

The question is will that be picked up as a Prohibited software. They said any software emulating keystrokes will get you banned.

I just hate using a keyboard for movement! It is just simply put TRASH. It is 2024 and the fact that anyone would even want to use a key press in 2024 for walking/movement is in my opinion beyond stupid. I have no issue with using a mouse for a FPS game. Luckily, the official Xbox accessories app now lets me map key movement to a controller so I will just do that and then use a wireless mouse to aim. I will also add that I am never going to sit at a freaking desk in 2024 to play a video game. I am old and retired! and gaming is my relaxing hobby so again, F**k sitting at a desk. To each their own on that part, but yeah I have a 65 QLED 4k 240hrz, so there is no way in hell I am sitting at a desk to game. LOL

I was able to get my controller working in the alpha using the Steam Input thing, manually mapped it all... but it felt like crap. No aim assist. No sensitivity curves. Just raw input. Fighting AI was frustrating but doable. Fighting other players was absurd. Luckily they sucked so I still won, but it felt like doing surgery with boxing gloves on. I'll wait for proper support. Quite disappointed though, was planning to play today.

I find it really sad for me that there is no controller support, I always play without Aim Assist, and have played most of the time on consoles, I also can't handle a mouse and keyboard because of my disability from a work accident:
