Game will be P2W
I'm eager to hear how you guys defend the pay-to-win model in this one, just like you did with ABI.

No. The devs have been pretty open that microtranactions will be cosmetic only.

They said that Arena Breakout: Infinite was not going to be P2W and they kinda stick to their promise tho. Sure, you can buy premium currency to buy better gear, which kinda make it slightly P2W, but F2P players also have access to this gear, and they can even steal it from a other player. So, it's debatable but they kinda stick to it's word.

Now people think "why in the hell does he talks about Arena: Breakout, that's made and published by Morefun Studios, which is a different developer as Delta Force."

Yeah, both are Tencent studio's and both uses Level Infinity account, in matter of fact, Delta Force even have stuff from Arena: Breakout in the game., in the extraction gamemode. Even parts of the UI is coming straight from Arena Breakout: Infinite.

And some games they released under Level Infinite and Tencent are heavily P2W. It's funny that Delta Force doesn't even appear on the Level Infinite webpage.

But if you look at all the games they released and also a lot of mobile games, then I can understand the fear of Delta Force becoming P2W.

So, hopefully they keep their promise like they kinda did with Arena Breakout: Infinite

Just figured out that the publisher is the same as for Arena Breakout where they also strongly stated that the game will never be p2w and well the game is strongly p2w.
Cry harder please.

another clown who doesnt know what pay to win means.

also, in ABI, you can get the good secure case from quests, event, twitch drops, freebies from mail and everyone gets a free 1x2.

again, you have no clue what youre talking about and must be the kind of person that finds a problem to every solution

Just google "definition of p2w". First result. It's not that hard. ABI is clearly p2w.

By this definition, all battlefields from BF3 are p2w games. Because you can buy unlocks for weapons. So if this game will be p2w in the same way as BF is, then I'm Ok with it.

Keyword: published. EA has published loads of P2W games, yet The Sims, Dead Space, and many others are not P2W because they have different developers than the P2W games EA publishes.

Yes.

Found this thread after starting the game up and seeing that you pay for new characters. So much for no p2w. Although it has been p2w even before that because of unlocks.

to be fair you can unlock all the operators for free by playing the game you can choose to pay to unlock at least one but its also free if you can wait a few minutes ;)

There is a thin line between p2w or not p2w.
To me, it's the amount of time you spend to get some item without paying and how much advantage it gives.
With custom servers in BF2042 you can unlock everything very fast.
Any weapon, all attachments for it, etc.

In DF, without custom servers where you can play vs bots and get unlocks, the process is slower.
Also, I heard that some skins in DF give a real advantage, but can only be bought. Can not verify that, though.

Yes, that's how all p2w games work.

Not really. Some items in p2w games can not be unlocked by just playing or require a ridiculous amount of time to unlock, or are timing out after unlock, so you need to grind to unlock them again. Like safe boxes in DF.
There are no such items in BF games. I mean items giving you REAL advantage.

The vast majority of p2w is stuff to take longer without paying. That's how it got popular on mobile games.
another squealing swine about something that is not implemented and not planned.
