My Thoughts as a Delta Force Fan

Delta Force is very dear to me. It kicked off my love of PC gaming decades ago. From Delta Force in '98 to Black Hawk Down (the best one) in '03. I was so excited to see this IP revived. Despite TiMi being a Tencent subsidiary, I held out hope. Hope that they would do the franchise justice. They did not.

This game is Delta Force in name only. It has no soul. Tencent bought this IP, gutted it, and replaced it with the worst parts of 2042 and COD: AW. It is a tiresome fast paced hero shooter with small maps, high TTK, and streamer concessions. NovaLogic made works of art with the Delta Force series. This is a short-sighted cash grab walking around in the exhumed corpse of a beloved franchise.

I think campaign should be similar to original Delta Force so as OG fan you will appreciate it more hopefully it will be good and meet our expectations

Id appreciate it if they allow DF BHD the novalogic version to be relisted on steam. But yeah im bafled as ♥♥♥♥ but i just wanna say the original holds up and im getting vibes its just going to be midly recreated. I bet you wont even be able to freely move in the black hawk(it will be fixed custscenes/cameras). So far the only things that make me think of BHD are the CAR names of the m4 and that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ humvee that freely moves around during the rush map. that brought back memories. If they do that with helis that be dope too.

but yo.... anyone remember the insane map editor and crazy missions that the community made for DF BHD. i feel likei dreamed half those missions... Man what a good game.

This is exactly why Im disappointed. BHD was so innovative for its time. this is just regurgitated junk

You realize there are 3 modes right, and one of them is a literal update of the 2003 game to UE5?

THQ Nordic purchased the studio’s assets and somewhere along the way, the Delta Force IP made its way to Chinese megacorporation Tencent where it is now in development at TiMi.

This article is misleading and incorrect. Team Jade is the Developer and TiMi is the Publisher but the Embracer Group THQ Nordic still owns the Delta Force IP.

I agree. This is a hero/clown shooter COD clone, nothing more. They're pissing on the legacy of Novalogic and the DF-series.

I`ve been a Delta Force Fan since DF 1.... and then the Delta Force 2 Demo appeared with Wind Effected Bullet Trajectory -Bullet Drop, and the Voxel Grass = The Great Equalizer. Was VERY saddened when No**logic decided to turn the Franchise into a vehicular Mil-Quaker.

Imho, there is only Delta Force, and Delta Force 2..... and Black Hawk Down to a certain extent. Anything after, was not really DF in anything but Name. I already knew after watching the multiplayer portion vids of Hawk Ups, real DF fans might be turned off of that portion of the game. I know I was. But I still hold off a bit of hope that the Single Player Black Hawk Down Campaign with its Co op Mode to allow a 3 or 4 man Squad to play the complete Campaign..... that it will have just enough DF FEEL to bring back some good memories. Hopefully the Dev Team slows the Character Movement in the Campaign down to a more realistic MilTac movement speed.... as apposed to the MilQuaker hyper speeds we are seeing in the mp videos. hehhhehhe Well, here`s hoping. ;p

I can't imagine why any fan of Delta Force would want to play the Black Hawk Down campaign on the COD engine, that and let Chinese kernel level anti cheat into your home
