Games copying each others' mechanics and looks is one thing. Looking the exact same makes you asking "what's the difference?" anyway.
Appreciate your comment, even though I don't accept your answer entirely. and I'm not looking to drag hate. Simply making a conversation.
Shots that should have killed someone they glance off and you die. Guns feel like COD which sadly most of this world loves, but I prefer realistic games like Rainbow Six Ravenshield, or earlier games.
I also thought they were going to have destruction. The dynamic battlefield was a advertising pitch, and I was expecting Bad Company 2 game play.
The graphics look great, as are the sound effects, but honestly all the voice lines especially the ongoing female announcer is beyond annoying. I don't need to be reminded over and over again that we need to defend the objective.
At least there still is allot of new Early Access tactical shooters to feel the void. I just wish they were closer to feature complete, or the AI isn't totally broken.
It just shows that the COD / BF influence takes a game like OG Delta Force and turns it into a clone hero shooter like Battlefield or Call of of Duty.
I never really tried Extraction mode, but based on the arcade physics and health for enemies. I can't see the game mode being enjoyable.
I will give the developers props for releasing this game as free to play unless you want to pay for the campaign.
A game needs more than graphics and sound to be enjoyable to play for multiple hours, and if I want arcade physics I can play Battlefield.
juat add 6v6, snd, and battle royale, its literally everything in one game.
it can be positive or negative depen ds on how you look at it.
I know where you're coming from, and you don't have to hold my opinion at whatever level of value, because whether I play the game at hand or not, I'm not restricted in making threads regardless. Therefore, as much as you think people shouldn't care about such opinions, then I also don't care whether you and others don't care about this thread.
I respect the that you like the game. I really do. And despite the fact that the game is free, no, I'm not going to judge it again by playing it. Watching gameplay footage is good enough for me to make the judgement, even though I despise it entirely because it has nothing to do with the DF series, as I mentioned numerous times by now.
Stop looking at who made these mechanics first and actually play the game and see if you have fun.
Do you have fun? PERFECT. Keep playing it then.
You don't? Then uninstall.
Neither Electronic Arts or Activision is going to pay you or care about you noticing the game shares the same mechanics (if they even share the same mechanics, an argument I won't go into since it's a waste of time and completely useless).
Let's remember games FOR US, THE PLAYERS, are supposed to be fun, not a competition. Leave the competition to the actual gaming companies.
You should give it a go. Sounds like that's more what you're looking for. Extraction mode is much more realistic as far as health goes (bullets hurt... ALOT). For instance, if you're vest gets broken, which happens throughout the course of a match, and someone shoots you, you're gonna come close to death very quickly. You gotta move and heal. Alot more strategy involved, as far as combat tactics.. flank maneuvers, hitting a building from all sides at once.. things like that. It's not like the BF-like mode. It's no joke. The AI are somewhat easy, but every once in awhile, they'll get ya. Worth a try anyway, I would guess you would like that experience more than the other one at least.
It's both. Mostly you'll encounter AIs.. but a player team can roll up on you outta nowhere. Gotta stay on your toes all the time, move tactfully, keep your ears open. Alot less spraying bullets, alot more tactical execution.
