Progress is all gone

I was given access via their standalone launcher yesterday and I played maybe 3ish hours. I got access to the Steam version today and now I cannot login in to the same account as the one used on the launcher because it resorts to the Steam Login.

I lost all that progress because I cannot sign-out of the Steam forced login they do when you launch it.

Im in the same boat but i assume were all losing progress once the alpha is over. The real shame is that i took my preferred username via the launcher login

Yes, I don't expect we'll be keeping the progress past the alpha...

How long it takes to receive email for steam alpha access ?

According to the support:

"Thank you for contacting us again regarding your issue. We value greatly your feedback. The launcher is independent and not interoperable with your steam account. If you qualify for Steam, you can only enjoy the game on Steam. If you qualify for the launcher, you can only enjoy the game through the launcher."

Meaning; if you want your username for Steam it's now not useable via Steam. Who makes a game like this that doesn't all use one account? Actually waste of time at that point to be launcher locked for no reason at all.
