Bit opposite for me. I got tired of Windows Defender's false positives that I installed Kaspersky Free instead and have way less of it. Also the bonus was a better UI, protection against ransomware and it's actually lighter on RAM.
I dont even remember when i had the last positive, must be many years ago. Only usuing Windows Defender.

Once a month I do a Windows virus scan and run a Malwarebytes free scan, as I said above, neither of them have ever found anything in 9 years.
The best, most powerful anti-virus known to man is the human brain.
I can say for sure it must have come from Delta Force Hawk Ops, but I downloaded their launcher from their website first, installed it.
Then realized there were steam keys via Twitch, and then download it via Steam.
I reset my whole SSD / Windows and reset my Steam password.
Still not sure if I wanna redownload via Steam now 😅.
Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Then instal bidefender and see how most of the typical site you use have ads that try to steal your infomation and stuff, even when looking trough google images it prevent/block stuff like that.
No, its fine, I dont see adds, I use an add blocker. as I said 9 years and not a single issue, why would I install something I dont need now?
