as for microtransactions thats perfectly fine for free to play games as thats how they make their money,
i dont mind microtransactions in free to play games but if it has pay to win garbage then yeah i can see the game dying, hopefully thats not the case.
now to op of the discussion,
honestly all video games should be free in todays age just look at dota2 cs2 lol tf2 call of duty destiny 2,
these games are the most popular free to play games because they cost nothing,
lets break the habit of buying games that dont function day one they should be free for the multiplayer and paid for the single player portion.
Because all I can see are corpses.

Are you sure it's not the other way around? Seeing that Delta Force first released in 1998 and the first Battlefield game came in 2002..
