Question in comments for spoiler purposes - Secret boss

I just got done with Giga Cardia and WOW that boss sucked. It felt so arbitrary to not be able to use my moveset, and I hated waiting around for 20-30 seconds at a time in what had previously been a really fast-paced and great game. I don't know whose idea it was to design a boss whose whole deal is waiting but I can't imagine a worse fit for king knight. AND it took away my vigor? Thank god I had a decree of rejuvination on me so I could speed up a few cycles with my relics but I still had to wait around for those same 20-30 seconds many times after that. Am I just missing something about this boss fight or is it really that bad?

Where is the question aside from "is it really that bad?"

It's not bad. It's the hardest boss in the game and it's optional. Just "git gud" as they say.
