Maybe add simple gamepad configuration dialog as fallback? Thanks for the great game though :)
My gamepad is:
Bus 007 Device 013: ID 07b5:0213 Mega World International, Ltd Thrustmaster Firestorm Digital 3 Gamepad
It had the DualShock icons AND was already set up without me needing to emulate it as a 360 controller!
WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ DON'T GAMES ON PC DO THIS THESE DAYS!?
I know, right.
Steam can detect my xbox360 controller.
My gamecube controller works with most of my older games.
Is there anything I can do to get it supported in shovel knight? (without using joy2key programs)
Edit: it's working now. I just had wrong permission to /dev/input/event*

Works in pretty much any other game i have, but not in Shovel Knight. I even tried emulation and it still doesn't work.
if I press triangle, the game things I'm pressing square.
some with the start button.
game things that is the R3 button.
pad works fine in other games.
I submitted this using the form, but also posting here in case the description gets lost or I didn't enter it correctly (not sure if I was supposed to enter a description on the official form)...
"SDL_GamepadBind" "571d2100000000000000504944564944,NES,a:b0,b:b1,y:b3,x:b2,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,"
Steam forces you to map the A, B, X, Y and left stick x and y axes, which is just enough buttons to match the NES controller... so I have mapped A to A, B to B, Start to Y, and Select to X. The y axis is mapped to up (down produces the same result of "a0", I guess for axis 0) and the x axis is mapped to right (again, left produces the same result of "a1").
