My Shovel Knight name did not take...

I named my character "SIRSHOVEL" but the name that I have in the game is the default "SHOVEL KNIGHT"...I can't find anywhere to change your name after the initital start up...
I'm not diiging it.

Anyone else having this issue?
Did I do something wrong?
Any ideas?

I believe the name you can enter only affects the name on the profile select screen not the name in the game.

I think it also shows up at the top of the screen after you die.

Yeah the name is for your save file.

Right it's only a profile name.

Although it would be a nice touch if they updated it to say your profile name just for dialogue giggles.

I always try to name Link in Zelda games "Sausage".

It's a shame your name does not translate into the in-game dialogue...seriously.
It feels like it should be in the game with as much TLC and attention to all "the little things" that obviously went into SHOVEL KNIGHT, it's really noticeable.

I can overlook it...I just wish I did not have to... :)
