Shovel Knight's voice: How would it sounds like?

Hey! Just decided to start a fun discussion. While playing games like Shovel Knight where are no voice actors but instead, the text dialogue, I keep wondering how the characters voice sounds like. Usually I try to find some familiar voice through my memories, trying to fit it into the character according to his appearance and personality. That turns the interaction between them more lively and nice. I guess everybody kinda does the same!

So, I would like to know: which kind of voice do you have in mind while reading Shovel Knight lines through the game? You can describe it, or use some voice actor as an example. The voice actor can be from anywhere, not necessarily an english speaker. The voice is what matters, not the accent or language (of course an english speaker can be easier to imagine, though). There's what I have in mind (it's the voice from the guy with gold armor):

Definitely a deep voice. I'm thinking like Kain from FFIV DS, but maybe just a biiit higher, and with a more valiant, less "dark" tone.

I personally like to imagine that Shovel Knight is a mute and people only understand them via text that appears in the sky. No one knows how but it happens. But I also like the idea that Specter Knight sounds like Commander Cobra from G.I Joe
