Playing on the new 90hz Steam Deck makes the game run faster

So the new OLED Steam Deck has a 90hz screen and if play the game on it then it runs in 90fps aka faster, it's kinda cool but weird.

Easy to fix, just limit the refresh rate with the in game menu to 60 and then it's back to normal.

oh wow, I just posted a discussion on this. I don;t know how I changed it but it was really fast and then slower the 2 different times I started the game.

Game's fps is supposed to be capped to around 62 apparently, so going any faster causes issues with game speed. Apparently there's ways to get around this, but they're buggy and you're best off just keeping your FPS at 60 for the most consistent experience.

The issue is that if you download the game on a steam deck oled and launch it then you get that higher FPS. If that's the first and only place you launched the game on then you might assume that the game is supposed to run at that speed.

Came back to the game today after a long break to start another playthrough and thought I was going crazy for a bit there. Thanks for the capped FPS fix, I also found that disabling vsync seemed to fix it but capping to 60 is better.
