I do like how Specter Controls and feels though. His move set really compliments the shovel knight style running and jumping.......better than shovel knight.....
A good dpad is pretty much needed, especially the one that allows diagonals easily. Or just use keyboard that is.
Agreed. I had similar issues, though I'm using an xbox 360 controller.
I said "like you can do in classic megaman" if you haven't noticed. In Shovel Knight the minumum hight you can take is not as low as you can in megaman.Its more like Ducktales.
It may not sound so much but when it comes to controls I want the very best.
Its not a problem with Specter since his abilities make up for it and are more suited for it. Which is good enough for me. When I go back to Shovel Knight I always play as him not just because of the controls but because of the more megaman style gameplay. Before he came along my playtime was 12 hours , after however it became 63 hours :D
Here's hoping King Knight is just as fun. Man I sure got my moneys worth too. 3 campaigns for free and with the original price on a steam sale :D
King knight reminds me a lot of wario land.
To be fair, I haven't played any megaman game yet (I'm a wimp at facing NES-level of difficulty lol). Should probably try one in the future.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I find all the official games to have glaring flaws. If you want the classic style with modern game design integrity, look for some fan-games. They're like, the best thing ever. Some people find them even harder than the official games, and while that may be true, they're also more fair. Some also have difficulty settings for noobs (and masochists, like me).
I highly recommend classic series. With the exception of megaman and bass every game in it is good. It depends on your preference which one will be your favorite but objectively every game is good. My list is something like this;
9=10>1>4>7>2>6>5>bass>8>3
9 and 10 being tied for my favorite games along with the trails in the sky trilogy.
Fan games? Like I wanna be the guy and others?
The reason I said "except megaman and bass" is because it has some really bad design choices. Like one of the bosses can kaizo kill you when you beat it. It doesn't have freedom when it comes to your order which is really bad for a megaman game.
I do like megaman and bass for the most part and hell certain parts where majority of people call terrible I really like, for example king tank 2 and burner man fight. The game has a fantastic soundtrack and a great set of weapons too. Not as good as 9 , 4 ,2 but very close.
