What is the order of the campaigns in the timeline?

Sorry if it was asked, i just finished King of Cards and i loved it, no spoil.
But im not sure about the timeline, is it
King Knight Campaign > Specter Knight > Plague Knight > Shovel Knight story?
Im not sure about Specter and Plague.
I want play the other campaigns again =)

First, the flashback sequences from Specter of Torment.
Then, King of Cards.
Then, Specter of Torment (King Knight is already recruited by that point, you go fight him just so he stops slacking off)
Then, Plague of Shadows and Shovel of Hope happen at the same time.

Ah Plague of Shadows is not before Shovel of Hope? When everything is fine, i dont remember much the ending

Plague is just an alternate chain of events to Shovel of Hope. Its canonicity is debatable but I like the idea that it does happen at the same time to Shovel of Hope but Plague embellishes his role in the story to seem cooler.

Plague is probably canon other than plague knight lying about beating shovel knight. Or possibly about fighting anyone and not just stealing their essence after shovel knight does the job.

Plague almost has to be canon since his ending explains the tower falling down.

The credits of king knight's campaign make it pretty clear it takes place at the same time as specter knight's campaign.

Apparently King of cards is a little before Specter of Torment because when Specter in his campaign goes fight King Knight, he's already in the Order and the Enchanteress just want you to beat him to make him more obedient

in Specter of Tourment, King knight is already part of the order and Specter knight was just send to pridemoor since King knight was lazy...and the final event of Plague of Shadows should be close to Shovel of Hope but Plague of Shadows should be a bit earlier since both Shovel and Plague knight could fight the enchantress and their final boss at the same time

Have you seen the credits? it shows that tinker knight, polar knight and some other dude are already recruited, and on specter knight the text says "the hunt continues", not the hunt begins or the hunt ends. this is on top of the fact that the enchantress herself says that joustus was a distraction while she recruited the knights. The reason king knight is already recruited is because he's one of the last knights he visits.

Personnally, I think the King Knight fight in Specter of torment take place "during" the credits. Because you can notice that the castle is not golden in Specter of Torment. The only time King Knight is in Primedoor castle before joining the Order is during the fight against Primedoor King. Apparently King Knight is already the king of Primedoor during Specter of Torment because we should have fought Specter Knight right after Primedoor King fight in this case like Plague Knight fighting Shovel Knight during his campaign..
