I like the old-school feeling and gameplay, not the 8-bit reduced palette (and sound) though for a retro-looking game...
Le't say that if this looks like a NES version I hope they'll still redo a retro-looking game but as a bit more modern remake in pixel gfx ;)
If this looks and sounds like a NES version, I'd hope for an... "Amiga re-release" too ;)
Just to be clear: SK catches perfectly the NES-feeling and is a remarkable retro game. It makes perfectly sense the reduced palette etc. because it was clearly one of the devs' goals.
I have nothing to critcize there... NES 8-bit is just a bit too limited/limiting and this game would be gorgeous in a more modern retro-inspired version though IMHO.
When did a nes game ever came down to the amiga (not the other way around). Also, more doesnt mean better, IE: Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, Megaman the Wily wars.
Since the graphics were made with a NES look in mind a "remaster" on the best case, it would only add a little shading (like Ninja Gaiden), at worst it would change dramatically the style.
And sound wise, either they go for a not so nice FM synth, or a lot of sampling. Neither being the best option
