Campaign order of three knights question

What is the order of the three campaigns timeline-wise and what order to play would you recommend?

Personally, I started with Specter Knight and I love it.

I think Specter Knight's campaign timeline-wise is the earliest one, right? However, it was released last. Am I playing the game right?

i would play shovel's campaign first cause it's the OG then i'd do the other two

it literally means ♥♥♥♥ all what order you do them in

I'm definitely going to do them all. This game is very my type of game. Used to play similar sega stuff a lot when I was just a baby... so - even more bias

Personally, I'd do Shovel first then the rest in any order, the reason being that Shovel is the base that the other ones build on, plot-wise.

If you play Specter first, then Shovel, Shovel just becomes a standard continuation, whereas if you start with Shovel, Specter has a bunch of "OOOOOH, that's how it happened!" moments which are really cool.

Plague is to Shovel what The Lion King 3 is to TLK1: another person's commentary on the same story. You can't appreciate the details as much if you haven't played Shovel first.

But maybe playing the prequel first is also a great experience? It's not the "oh, that's how it happened" experience but it is an experience nevertheless. Playing the original game already with a baggage, knowing some origins of the other characters... I think it adds up positively

i'd honestly recommend playing shovel first but do whatever you want

Well yeah, I don't think it matters much. The games aren't exactly plot-heavy any way. I do believe Shovel is best to start with, but it doesn't really matter. With Plague I'd definitely recommend doing Shovel first, at any rate, since its entire story gimmick is to be a quirky spin on the original plot.

Yeah, I'm planning to finish Specter Knight's campaign (only Propeller Knight to beat left) and then start Shovel Knight's. End with Plague and wait for King.

When i've bought this game it had just shovel knight.then,some time later yacht club games implemented plague knight campaign and i just played 1 hour of it because i used to play as shovel knight and plague knight gameplay is very different compared to the other 2(but i'm trying to make it now).And then,after pratically 7 months i played it a few days ago and i found that yatch club games implemented specter knight.For me that was the best campaign,and i've made the campaign in approximately 5-6 hours in a row,but boi that was fun as hell.Enough of that,let's talk about the chronological order:

WARNING! SPOILERS!

First:Specter knight.Specter knight has made the entire "hierarchy" for the enchantress.He also saved Reize from the enchantress hierarchy but for that he needed to accept to work for the enchantress so she would not use Reize to be the 8 knight.
Second:Shovel knight(plague knight happens on the same time of the shovel knight campaign but it's not shown in shovel campaign).Shovel knight had lost shield knight so he go and try to find her defeating all the 8 knights and the enchantress.He discover shield knight was the enchantress,and so,he and her lived a happy live forever(lol)
Third:Plague knight.You should play as the third one because it happens on the background of the shovel knight campaign,and if you would play shovel knight first it would actually spoiler your campaign.I did not ended it yet because i'm still making it.The only i know is that plague knight are looking for the ingredients to make an potion that will make him very stronger.Every knight hold's one ingredient,so plague knight go and defeat all the 8 knights.

Ok,sorry xp.also,if you want a game like shovel knight,look for momodora and hollow knight ,it's on steam.Also shantae and indivisible,but i dont think both are on steam.

i bought legacy edition for ps4,and the menu...Oh the menu...The developers quite have made an sh*t at it and also when i saved the game, on the other day the save were gone.Anyway,megaman is megaman,go and grab it.But the menu is actual ♥♥♥♥.
