Where do you gender swap?

I search for and couldn't find. Is this only for Shovel Knight, and is this only when starting a new file?

Oh let's clear this up.

1. You can only play Genderswap mode in original Shovel Knight Campaign where you play as eponymos Shovel Knight - it's also known as "Shovel of Hope" story.
2.You don't need to start a new save of "Shovel of Hope" story for genderswap mode - it is always available from pause menu on world map.
3. Plague of Shadows and Spectre of Torment didn't get genderswapped story... It wasn't even in stretch goals during kickstarter.
