Any plans for DLC after King Knight
Or a Shovel Knight 2?

Personally I'd be all for Shovel Knight 2 not existing in favor of Plague Knight 2 with Shovel Knight add-on DLC (I found the Shovel Knight version of the campaign to be boring, but the Plague Knight version to be one of the more satisfying Indie games I've played)

They're not planning to add any more campaigns following King Knight, no. There might be a sequel at some point in the future.

A shame I'd love for Shield Knight or Propeller Knight to have one

There's no plan for other campaign after King Knight's, but there will be the battle mode.

I really would have loved a Propeller Knight campaign instead of King Knight

King Knight seems to be quite the let down, since he's well.. a loser

I think he could be great for a more humorous plot. As a boss he just doesn't seem to do much that would result in interesting gameplay. He will probably be quite different to play as he is as a boss.
just look at spectre knight: His Boss fight has nearly nothing to do with his playable model.

In my opinion the playable Specter Knight matches the boss really well. Of course it cannot be exactly the same but the playable character is clearly inspired by how the boss character works. Same goes for Plague Knight. King Knight boss doesn't have anything really special besides the trumpets that don't look like something that would transfer so well to a playable character.
his playable version has, like i said, nothing to do with his boss version.

Just compare the other released playable characters:

Shovel Knight boss (plague of knight) is a 1 to 1 copy to his playable character, even running out of magic, his moveset is still the exact same as if you played him.

Plague Knight boss and playable characters have the same skillset, besides some smaller changes to the skills, they still stay the same. There are some more moves and abilities for the playable version, so it seems like the boss version version 2.0.

Specter Knight on the other hand has not a lot/anything to do with his boss version. The theme is the same, but that's kinda it. Some Curios seem similair with his boss attacks, but the effects are not close to those attacks.

King Knight could/will be the same as the Specter Knight: tons of changes to the character moveset, but still being the same. I can see King Knight becoming a real King and help out the town/village and defending them.

I can see King Knights campaign being a sequel to Shovel Knight: going on a journey to make his own kingdom after he was beaten by Shovel Knight. Learning on the way that being a king doesn't just mean having a crown and a castle, but also responsibilities.

I think I would prefer any one of the other knights over King Knight, but I'll happily give the devs the benefit of the doubt.

Well, the backers voted for him so there's not really anything you can do about that.

Your point? Even if the backers hadn't voted for him, there wouldn't be anything I could do about it. I was just stating my opinion.

I would definitely buy them as DLC if they did this for every knight.

Seriously, who thought King Knight would make for a good campaign? What about Treasure Knight, Shield Knight, Propeller Knight, Mole Knight, or hell, even Tinker Knight! Literally any of those would be more interesting than KING KNIGHT.

I would love to have a 16-bit sequel "Super Shovel Knight", but it seems that Yacht Club Games are more motivated to make a "Shovel Knight 64" kinda sequel.
