Anyone else got this on the Switch?
Can't say I'm impressed... The controls feel very unresponsive and floaty. The way the game plays it feels like the devs were aware of this and tried compensating by giving generous hit detection(Like I'll down attack the side of a bubble that I normally never would land the hit on only for it to register regardless).

It just feels horrible as if there's a case of really bad input lag. :/ I just don't feel confident jumping and aiming down because I'm not sure if the exact input will register in time. Very upset about this. Anyone else notice it?

I assume you're playing in TV mode with the Joycons? Try sitting closer to the Switch. The control issues you're experiencing are likely a result of hardware issues with the Joycons themselves. The signal from them is very easily interrupted, especially in the left joycon, which uses an etched Bluetooth antenna.

I'm literally right up at my TV. I don't get this kind of input lag with Zelda or Fast RMX so this is an isolated incident. I can't even play co-op for some reason... It won't let me activate player two on my second joycon...?

I've tried playing the game with both joycons and a single joycon. So far it seems like one joycon is a lot better than using both joycons which is odd plus I'm using the problematic Joycon(Left) and it's much improved over using both. This is a very odd issue plus not being able to use co-op is just weird.... But it says "Amiibo" on top of the co-op option... Do I actually have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ use an amiibo to use co-op in this game?!

1. Do you still get the input lag when you play in handheld mode?

2. Are you sure you're following the instructions correctly for activating co-op?

Also, no, you don't need amiibo for co-op. You just have the option to have one player to play using the amiibo custom knight instead of Shovel Knight.

I don't have this on swtich but i will say the analog stick with the pro controller isn't 100 percent smooth in binding of isaac.

You have Binding of Isaac on the Switch and get the same issue?

Nope, I don't get input lag when using a single controller or handheld mode. It's only when I use both Joycons to control the character that I get this issue. It's really odd and very annoying.

I could be right up at the TV, nothing between the controllers and the console and have them pointing directly at the console and still get this issue however I can be ten feet away with one Joycon and it'll be okay.

How do I do co-op then? It won't let me activate my second Joycon. The second Joycon lights up as P2 but no buttons register what so ever.

Thank you and everyone else for alpha testing the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully I can pick up a finished product somewhere next year! :Walden:

Is the buttons not registering an issue in the menus or is it happening in-game?

We aren't aware of an issue like this, but would love to fix it if we can. If you would email us here, we can try to gather more info:

There are no gameplay/hitbox/physics changes between any platform.

You'll need to setup your joy-cons as two separate controllers to begin co-op. You can do so by entering the "Change controller/grip menu" on the title screen, in the co-op binding screen, or on the Switch's own Home Menu. Then press L & R on each controller.

I've completed it on the Switch and haven't noticed any issues like that, but I've only played on handheld mode. Lovely game, hope you manage to fix your problems :)

Well, apparently it could be the controllers and Nintendo will fix it within a week. It's just odd it only happens for me when I use both Joycons but when I use a single one, even the left Joycon, it's flawless.
