How to play the DLC?

I only ever played the original campaign long ago, and I can't see a way to start a DLC campaign on my save file. Do I have to select a new save file or something to play the DLC campaigns?

If you have completed the game. Start a new adventure, and it will have a character select screen.

yes...

just start in a new save slot and you should be able to select plague knight.

edit: checked your account, it says you did not even finish the main game. in that case you need to use a code. just google for that.

I have it on other systems too actually, I still haven't finished it on Steam but I have on others.

after finishing the main story with shovel knight, you are able to select another knight (plague knight atm) when starting a new file.

if you do not want to replay the story or want to start out fresh with plague knight, you are able to use a special code:

just follow this instruction and you are good to go.

something else to note: after the new dlc comes out on all platforms, you do not need to finish the main story with shovel knight to select the dlc characters or modes.
