I like these 2 games but freelancer was awsome, please answer me i'm very interested

Man, Starlancer. There's a game I haven't thought of in ages. I wish they made an HD remake of that. It'd be so good.

But anyway, from what I can see and that I've read, this game is closer to Freelancer but with a greater emphasis on customisation.

not sure that it close to freelancer. At least as i see it have much more hard control than freelancer. People liked freelancer because it was easy to play for all.

My answer to this would be much closer to Freelancer, but we are really our own game in that we don't totally follow other's paths. The controls (especially the mouse controls) are a work in progress, and we are very interested in hearing feedback (both in the community and at betafeedback@eschatch.com) regarding why you see the controls as hard and what you would like to see us change to make it easier / more accessible.

Thank you for your support.

If this game's control and playstyle becomes anything like Freelancer (and is able to be compatible to my 9800gtx+ 512mb graphics card), you'll get my money... otherwise, I've given up on space sims for the most part cuz no one seems to ever make them fun and simple in my opinion. I still have Freelancer installed and I still play it every year.

DUDE ! thats exactly it! Ive have tried several, no a lot, no a SH*TLOAD of space games out there to find something which learned from freelancer and took all the good things from it into the HD world of today. And everything that happend was a lot of hot air about overpriced and overhyped games.

Actually i also gave up on finding something like that, but- i am very close to trying it again with this game ^^

Thanks for your reply, i know it's hard to have to be compared to other games but freelancer is so awsome ^^ as already said, most of space games are under this reference.
But could you answer to the existance or not of these elements :
free world, hidden spots, trade system, stargates, Differents nations u can visit
Thanks

I would love another game like Freelancer. Which I imagine must be said enough to sound really tired. The controls were one of the best points, all the freedom of a mouse plus strafing ability and a bit more situational awareness from sitting behind the ship. And there was mining, but the best part was, you only did it if you felt like it.

But THIS- already looks like it delivers planetary flight, which FL never managed, and a bit better asteroid/close flying, and of course better resolution.

...So, what everyone else is saying. FL got a framework pretty much right, taking that in another direction could be awesome.

I finished FL a couple times, and did some multi, but X3 was so complicated that I lost interest after like a half hour. And Battlecruiser was mostly crap for about 5 minutes. Meticulously crafted crap with crap graphics.

Freelancer still has a special place in my heart, but we didn't want to clone the Freelancer trade mechanic for this game, opting instead for more exploration, and a largely military thrust. However, with that said, we are endeavoring to get as fluid a control system with mouse and keyboard, and as modifiable a control system (mappable keys) as possible - it will feel fluid and happy when you're flying in space or in a planetary atmosphere. We do have Einstein-Rosen bridge points (or E-R points) - these are basically stable wormholes between different parts of the solar system that are part of our story and functional in Fly Patrol mode.

can I explore the universe with my friends in multiplayer? or are we stuck to the "Arena" style gameplay?

This is exactly what's keeping the $20 in my wallet right now. The store description is lacking and the trailer and screenshots don't show the UI or any of how the game actually plays. It looks neat, but I don't want to drop money on another lobby shooter-- would like some info on how the world works.

We are still actively working on the game and supporting it. Please feel free to send your feedback to us via email (feedback@eschatch.com). We want to make this the best game possible and sincerely appreciate your feedback.
