Desperate for adjustment to controls
The fact that aim is tied to movement is cancer. It took me a while to realize why I was struggling and hating this game so much until I realized the movement and aim were tied with no means of changing this.... What an awful development decision. Maybe one day a talented person with mod it. Until then, this game seems like a hard pass.

It takes less than a second to aim then lock the aim and position. You can beat the entire game with this. I don't think its bad. I first played in 2011 and again today. Its just as good as I remember

I gave up on this before the end of the tutorial. Mouse look or twin-stick control scheme would both have been fine, no idea why they had to do something involving two extra buttons.
There's a game called Soda Crisis that launched with a similar set up to STFU, and at some point the dev(s) dropped a free-aim mode option into it. I only recently returned to it and made that discovery; it changed my whole attitude about the game. I'm really hoping they consider adding something like this to the game someday... or maybe a mod, perchance:csd3perfect:
