Fears to fathom games ranking?
Hello, I recently played all the F2F games and I wanna know how people rank them. Here is my ranking:
1. Ironbark Lookout (Ep. 4)
2. Carson House (Ep. 3)
3. Home Alone (Ep. 1)
4. Woodbury Getaway (Ep. 5)
5. Norwood Hitchhike (Ep. 2)

Norwood Hitchhike is just so weird to me, it‘s not very focused and it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Woodbury Getaway was such a disappointment for me because I love the setting (winter, falling snow? Yes please!) but I hated the fishing mini game and I think it’s too similar to carson house and home alone. I also think the horror aspect came too short and in general the game is too short for me. Home Alone is only one higher than Woodbury because it’s the first game in the series and thus its fault can be easier overlooked and the horror aspect is more prominent than in Woodbury. Carson House was in my opinion just really solid. Ironbark is the best one - the setting is awesome, the gameplay is varied (reminds me a bit of firewatch) and the horror aspect was awesome in this one.

What is your ranking and I would love to hear an explanation on your ranking too.

I'm on Ironbark Lookout now.. Not finished yet but it's already my favorite by a long shot. I disagree personally though about Norwood Hitchhike. That's probably my second favorite. Maybe it's the outdoors at night vibe that gives me the willies... I just like the atmosphere more and I think it's a creepier situation than being in a house. Carson House is my 3rd favorite though. I do enjoy it, but it wasn't that scary to me. Obviously Home Alone is dead last for me. I'm shocked it's ranked so high on your list. It's just too short. Good, but I think of it as just a demo to give you an idea of what the series is. Again, on Ep. 4 now so I can't say anything about Ep. 5 yet.

Thank you for your answer! I find the ranking difficult to be honest because they all have major flaws except for in my opinion Ironbark. Home Alone is very short I agree and there could have been more done with it but it was the first in the series and I see it as kind of testing the waters with what works and what not. It would've been higher than woodbury if woodbury wasn't such a let down for me. The way I see it, the shortness and flaws can be much more easily excused in a first attempt (home alone) than in later attempts after some experience (esp. after making ironbark, I was so disappointed in woodbury). So that's why I decided to put it above woodbury :) and norwood hitchhike just doesn't make narrative sense to me which is why it's last for me.

Idk how you could rate ironbark so highly with the endings gaping plot hole.
