SPOILER: Camper Bathroom Locked

Am I going crazy, or does someone stow away in the camper when we are in the diner getting food? When I came out of the diner I found the RV's door open and unable to get in the bathroom with the protagonist saying something along the lines of "the bathroom door is strangely jammed." So, does this mean someone recognized us at the diner? Assuming Mitch has something to do with the cult, did he let his goons know about the new fire watchman? What I'm getting at is how did they know to stow away in the RV when I could have just been a random person. Perhaps they didn't know we were the new hire and would have murdered us had we not pulled into the park?

It's generally assumed that the guy you see in the diner stows away in the RV before you leave and he is 'Silas' that you meet whilst collecting wood.

A lot of people have commented that it doesn't really make sense why he needed to stow away given that the other cult members are already there.

As for not pulling into the park I've tried driving on and turning around and driving back, the way is blocked for both.

What seems strange to me is even though you can see someone walk past the window behind Billy when you talk to him after you arrived, the bathroom door is still jammed when you go back to your RV to check after. I assumed I would be able to open it again at that time, but that was not the case.
