It's almost 2024 and a dev can't cope with screen resolutions? FFS...
Maybe try this. In Steam, when the Steam launcher is open. Viewing from your game library, select and right click on the game Fears to Fathom - Ironbark Lookout then select its Properties. From the game's properties you should already be on the General tab. Now try adding this command line into LAUNCH OPTIONS.
You can either type in or copy and paste the following below:
-screen-width 3440 -screen-height 1440 -screen-fullscreen 1
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3102353688
Now close the game's properties window when you are done typing or pasting this line in the command above. Now PLAY the game through Steam.
-screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440 -screen-fullscreen 0
I checked the other episodes and yes I was playing in 21:9 whitout problems in those......but it's fine, for a 2 hours game black bars are still better than a terrible crop cutting out screen items.
