Guide to fight the Dragon
Anyone experienced enough to teach me a bit what kind of gear Im seeking for? Im playing an Ice mage and ai usually carry a staff and a one hand sword + shield. In fact, 99% of time I use the sword!

And a little question: any difference between shortsword and 1h sword? I seen those 2 different stats on gear but am clueless about the difference. Thanks alot :)

Nice little game btw.

The Dragon is a massive creature with tons of HP and %HP damage. This means a loadout which excels at sustained fights is your best bet here. Items and stats which are /are not useful here:
+ Shields (they increase your effective HP and regen)
+ Weapons capable of doing a lot of damage in a short window (ranged weapons are safer but way slower than melee weapons)
+ HP Regen / HP Stolen, they greatly increase your sustain during the fight. Without them you have no way to survive.
+ Stamina (if you feel like it)
+ Any stat which reinforces your damage output or sustain

- Extra HP, since the Dragon's damage scales with it as well
- Items which decrease Fire Damage, they don't work here
- Very slow weapons, like 2H items. Unless they have great stats like Attack Speed and more HP Regen or any other stat you find compensates your slow attacks.
- Tomes, it's not very effective.
- Stats which have no effect in this fight

This is a template for a good loadout against the Dragon which works on all classes. However, I recommend fighting the Dragon at higher levels because you want enough damage output to kill it in a timely fashion (not like 10 hours).

Shortsword(s) are 2H weapons which are between Daggers and ordinary Swords. Their combo attacks focus single targets with lots of hits. I barely use them bcause I prefer the AoE damage of a sword.

Another tip: there are a few guides on the forums as well. Perhaps you can have a look there if you need additional information.
