How do you use bandages?

I right click on them and nothing happens...i click around my character and...nothing happens.......

Right click on bandage then left click on your character. You can also drag and drop them onto the action bar for quick access.

Make sure your health is above 40%, if you don't have the doctor feat, you can't heal yourself using bandages below this threshold.
