aimed shot
What is even the point of aimed shot? i feel like i have less than a 50/50 with aimed shot, even when its a 95% chance to hit...and those misses are the absolute worst.

Well, after enought levels and skill points sunk into your weapon, you'll be able to get that guaranteed crit. When it lands.

And yeah, RNG is fun, in the funky way. Sometimes i miss 95% shots 2-3-4-5 times in a row, but if i move even 1 square it's like the RNG seed is rerolled instead of getting stuck on the miss. The just my personnal version of Coral's charm of cope with RNG : reposition and retry ... ... :D

Auto crit on demand and short CD is not garbage lmao, especially for early game. Mandatory for sniper rifles and pretty much mandatory on energy weapons (95% to oneshot 3-4 enemies with electroshock pistol aimed shot is stupidly overpowered).

It's needed to unlock the next perk, can't remember what that's called.

Well, if I use a sniper, I don't go out without it, it makes wonder. Especially with all other dedicated perks. And yeah, it tends to fail when you don't want to.', because at 95% you want it to work 100% of the time.

It's the XCOM effect. 95% chance to hit, misses three times in a row.

Pretty much, but we notice that as a pain mostly because it happens when we care. When it happens against trivial mobs, we don't. Like making three critical in a row against those trivial mob is an annoyance too.

Also, i noticed that people who complain about rng are people who play build like sniper - high damage with high AP point cost and low amount of attacks per round. I never saw people playing leather gloves build who have 10+ attacks per round. With sniper missing a couple of attacks at 95% probably means he totally wasted a round and probably dead because of that (also because he never had backup plan or good defense and relied solely on alpha strike). For fist fighters missing 3-4 attacks is annoyance at worst, but not the end of the world because damage is more distributed between multiple actions, so rng spikes (which are expected to happen every now and then, there is even math that can tell you how often) don't hurt much.

I usually play something like shotguns, so when i decide to branch out and i get slapped with something like a 50% hit rate with the "automatic crit button" i feel it lol. negative bias is definitely a thing though.

Heh. Play psi, doesn't even have hit chance, always hits (doesn't stop people from complaining about how it's nerfed tho).

Complaints was not that it was nerfed only that it was made far less interesting, plenty of psi abilities you might only use 3 times during the whole game because they just happen to be the best thing in that situation but if you're going to restrict the amount anyone can use at any given time then of course people are going to prioritise main combat only abilities, didn't really hurt dual psi builds only pure psi builds.

If you're going to stand on the side of that stupid update then at least get it right.

I was going to reply to this but unfortunately I cryorb'd myself due to the 10% chance it goes wherever the hell it wants and now I'm dead so I can't.

People who refuse to ever change their equipment even when it's a good idea are bad at the game and should learn to adapt.
This applies to every build, not just psi.
