Mission Help
I am trying to do a mission for Gorsky where you unlock a door in the gms compound, after i find a key I get swarmed by robots and stunlocked to death. How are you supposed to complete this mission when you can't even damage the things you are fighting?

What is your main attack type you are using? If it's guns are you using the armor penetrating rounds? And as Caesar said, stunning them before they stun you is key.

AP rounds? I have not seen any 5mm AP rounds in the vendor in the SG station. And For my tactic I tried rushing one bot at a time with a knife, no damage dealt, I tried using my only Psi ability, cryo shot, once again no damage. I see no way of killing these damn robots.

Knife won't hurt them. If you are melee use a hammer for very effective damage against the robots.

Keep in mind, just because you've been given a quest does not necessarily mean you are ready for it. If you do the quests one after the other with no side track exploring you may end up a bit under leveled, under geared, and short on consumable supplies.
there are also ducts you can use vs fighting the robots. I prefer to go that route as I just sledgehammer the hell outa the rathounds very nicly but I play a melee/throwing/traps/lockpicking/hacker psi build.

Honestly I would need to see your build to know what strat you should use. If you have stealth they do follow a set path and you can get the items by hiding behind boxes and just being sneaky about it and not fighting them.

If you have electronics you can build a taser and shock them. If you have throwing or traps HE and EMP are effective. You may also be able to find a knife with shock on it in the armory or off an enemy under the streets on you way there.

If you have high strength a sledge will do- or you can get metal armor in the junkyard.

What is you skill distribution and maybe we can work out a strat for you?

♥♥♥♥ this game, I'm tired of getting stunlocked all the time and am unable to do anything. Why the ♥♥♥♥ is there such a drastic increase in difficulty so early on? I'm not going to play this again until easy difficulty is actually easy.

Is this your first character? If so perhaps you need to find a better build for your play. The first few times you play UnderRail should be purly experimental. It took me several attempts at first to find a build I really liked. Its worth it when you find that perfect build for how you want to play UnderRail. Its a difficult game but Im playing it atm on easy with oddity exp. So far it is difficult but if you have health stems and fight the way your class is built to fight you should win most of the time. Sometimes there are just bad rolls of the dice during fights and you have to reload your last save and try again. I really love my unarmed/melee build Im using atm.

My character uses guns and Melee to fight. I just got a sledgehammer which is the only thing that can damage those robots for some reason. What I do not like about them is the fact that they more or less spam that stun attack.

I get stunned alot but I smash them good with sledge as you said, yes annoying but the smashing brings joy to an annoyance :)

It's important to understand the different types of resistances and what your current weapon will penetrate. It's a very important part of the game.

When you get stunned you gain a temp immunity to another stun. During that immunity, finish them!

Face it guys, this level is badly designed. Certain builds have close to zero chances there. And no, you should not be forced to restart game only because of "bad" skill point distribution.
One bot is enough because you have cameras to spawn it. Three bots is overkill. Instead of being challenging this level becomes tedious and boring.

how many different classes have you played threw on this level or section of the game? and please explain your strat with each class and why you feel it didnt work. Perhaps we can help you find a better way with that class.

FYI: Yes, I noticed this looks to be your first or 2nd play threw the game. At just shy of 4hrs of playtime is where I draw that conclusion. This is a difficult game and very few figure it out in their first character build. So if you want help we will help you.

I'm actually completed this part. I had to backtrack for nades and AP ammo.
Still can't say that part is challenging, just frustrating. Funny how exactly next level with raiders has much better map layout .
just stealth :^)
